Re: Sink tap losses

Hi @Mokumajie,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

Is the issue that the tap handle won't screw back in?

If you shine a light down into the hole, can you see a thread at all?

If so, then you may need to rotate the tap body, so the outside hole that the handle goes into lines up with the internal thread.

If this is not the issue, perhaps you are looking for a tool to help tighten the handle. If so, then you can use some multigrips with a cloth to cover the tap handle to protect it from scratches.

If the issue is something else, please let me know so I can assist further.

Re: Sink tap losses

What if I lost the thread inside, can I buy thread at Bunning or what do you recommend? Thank you.

Re: Sink tap losses

Hello @Mokumajie

I think the threads for the actual handle have worn away. Do you know the make and model of your kitchen tap? It might be possible to get a spare handle for the tap. At this point in time, if the pin handle does not screw back into the round circular part of the handle, I can only suggest replacing it.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Sink tap losses

Do you have a thread that I can buy to try to screw them back together. I think it is the Mondella Resonance, is there any spare handle for the tap? Thank you.

Re: Sink tap losses

Hello @Mokumajie

What I mean by thread is the cutout channel inside the circular part of the circular handle. It can't be purchased as it is a part of your handle. I suggest bringing your handle to the closest store in your location and proceeding to the special orders desk. Please show them the handle and ask them for a quote on how much a spare complete handle will cost. If you are satisfied with the quote, you can instruct the team to order the spare parts for you.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
