I laid some wet trousers on the dining table and it has stained the wood. How do I fix this please?
Hello @laurenlowe
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing water stain from wood.
You can try two techniques, first, is to place a tea towel over the affected area and set your iron to a low setting and iron over the tea towel, don't stay in one place too long and keep the iron moving. Leaving the iron in one spot will burn the fibres of the wood and you'll get a dark spot. Check your table often and repeat until the water stain is gone.
Second is to use a hair dryer. Set the dryer to its low setting and run it over the water stain in a back-and-forth motion. Again, don't be tempted to stay in one spot as extreme heat will will damage the surface seal and it will peel off. Keep waving the dryer over the water stain until it fades away.
Keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing your table stain free.
