Hi there
I need to replace the shelves and doors of my kitchen cabinets under the sink.
I suspect this will mean I won't be able to get the same colour as the rest of the kitchen, so I was wondering if I could paint them & if so, what sort of paint should I use?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @angkin. It's marvellous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing cabinetry doors.
Kaboodle has quite a large range of colours to select from, so you might find something of the same colour. This would be the best option as the look of factory-finished doors is far superior to a painted door; side-by-side, there will be quite a noticeable difference in the two finishes.
If you do need to paint MDF doors, you can do that with Dulux Precision Primer and Aquanamel. It would be best to spray the doors rather than using a roller or brush. This will eliminate brush and roller marks. However, it won't be as uniform or as durable as a factory-finished door or shelf.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
