How to build a pull-out spice rack?

Hi,

I am planning to build a spice rack similar to the one shown in the attached picture. Please can you confirm which wood and tools/screws required.

Regards

Hi Asad (@airtel12

These slimline pull-out spice racks have been a very popular project on the Bunnings Workshop community ever since @DIYology shared the first one.

The step-by-step guide How to build a slimline spice rack has everything you need, including a full list of tools and materials. Please let us know if you have any questions about the steps in the guide. We look forward to seeing your project completed.

Re: How to build a pull-out spice rack?

I have made the rack as written and it's not balanced. While moving it front and back it tends to shake like if one wheel is shorter. All the wheels are same 50mm. How to fix this any suggestion

Re: How to build a pull-out spice rack?

Hello @airtel12

I suspect that one of the wheels is catching on something or is out of alignment which could be the reason the spice rack shakes coming out. I suggest pulling the spice rack out and observing carefully how the wheels turn while being pulled out and pushed in. I suggest doing a free-standing test where it is not located inside the fridge gap. Do the wheels catch on something? Perhaps there is debris inside the gap causing one of the wheels to stutter.

I recommend moving the refrigerator ever so slightly to make more room for the spice rack. Test it one more time to make sure there is enough space in the gap. Please let me know if this suggestion works.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
