How do you install Kinetic sink strainers?

I can find tutorials on the basket type ones but not these ones. Thank you!

Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, the strainer you have is not compatible with your sink waste. A compatible sink waste will look like this.

The strainer you have is a replacement part for wastes like this Kinetic Stainless Steel 55mm Sink Basket Waste. You can see there is a rubber ring on the underside of the strainer. In these wastes, the strainer acts as a plug. 

You can either replace your waste with a compatible one or return the strainer you have and purchase a strainer such as this Kinetic 38mm Strainer or this Kinetic 50mm Basket Strainer or simply purchase a sink plug.
