Can I repaint after using Dulux Renovation Range?

Can I repaint after using Dulux Renovation Range?

I have pained my Kitchen cupboards with Dulux renovation range and it turned our amazing.

Now I have pained the tiles and benchtop again with the Renovation range and it looks better than I could have imagined.

Now I am finding the doors look a little yellow compared to the Bench,   my question is can I just repaint my cupboard doors or do I have to go right back to the beginning of the process again using the primer?

I would appreciate the help,  thank you so much.

Re: Can I repaint after using Dulux Renovation Range?

Hello @kaywilliamson

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about the Dulux Renovation Range.

I've just been in discussion with the Dulux team, and they recommend the following:

  • Safest process - First lightly fine grit sand back the current coated colour surface to achieve a smooth even dulled down surface finish. Use a 320-400 grit sanding pad for the prepping process.

  • Step 2- Scrub down with Selleys® Sugar Soap and rinse with clean water to remove any dirt, oil or grease.  Apply two coats of Renovation Range Primer and leave to dry.

  • Step 3 - Apply your new Renovation Range topcoat cabinets paint in colour and sheen of choice to finish, with two coats.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
