Best tool for removing kitchen tap screw?

IMG_4772.jpeg

what is the best tool to get this screw out? Is it possible to remove the tap without removing the screw?
I’ve tried pouring over boiling water, wd40, bashing with hammer to loosen bottom, strap wrench.

it’s so close to the wall, I’ve ordered right angle screwdriver thing?
 Thanks

Re: Best tool for removing kitchen tap screw?

Hello @Econquest

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's marvellous to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about removing your kitchen spout.

Looking at the photo you posted, it looks like the spout is being held in place with a grub screw. On closer inspection, I suggest using a Stanley 4 x 75mm Standard Screwdriver. This should be short enough that you can reach the back of the spout assembly and remove the grub screw. Once the grub screw has been removed, set it aside in a safe place. You should now be able to remove the spout by pulling it upwards.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Eric
