I bought it in Feb or March and planted to the ground and the end of April, but its looks so Sat and it is not growing much since I bought it.

When planted we make a whole 3 times bigger than the pot and mix potty mix sand and compost. And I fertilise with a liquid citrus fertilizing every month.

Re: What is wrong with my avocado tree?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Camale. It's amazing to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Avocado care.

Avocado trees are quite susceptible to root rot, especially if planted in clay-based soil or an area with poor drainage. Avocados need well-draining, moist soil but don't tolerate "wet feet" — standing water around their roots. A deep watering twice weekly is usually adequate, and you should only water if the top few inches of soil are dry. It’s important to note that overwatering symptoms can look very similar to those of underwatering, so it's easy to overwater if you're not careful.

Could you tell me if your avocado tree is planted over a clay base? If so, the roots might be staying too wet, leading to poor growth and overall health. In that case, it might be better to transplant your avocado tree into a raised mound to improve drainage. Also, make sure the tree is in a spot with good sunlight.

Here's a helpful guide: How to grow and care for an Avocado.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
