What type of timber should i use to make a raised bed cover to keep possums out?

What type of timber should i use to make a raised bed cover to keep possums out?

I have a design in mind which looks like a cold frame cover but with wire mesh instead. What is the difference between h2 and h3? Since it’s in the veg patch I thought I could use structural treated pine. Would love some advice. Thanks

Hello @Goffin

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about a raised bed cover.

Between the two types of timber, it's better to use H3 as it is rated for outdoor use and can withstand insect attacks. I am very intrigued about your raised bed cover design. Would it be possible for you to post a drawing on paper and telling us what type of mesh you'll be using on the frame itself.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
