Hey everyone,
I’ve got a VICTA Electric Lawn Mower Kit (18V 5.0Ah Battery Charger Cordless, 16" Supercut) and have been having some issues with the battery overheating.
The mower stops working mid-use, and I’ve noticed the side of the battery is burned, which is pretty concerning. The battery is a Briggs & Stratton rechargeable Li-ion model (1697275), and the charger is model 1697272. Both came with the mower, so I’m not sure if the battery is defective or if there’s something else going on.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their VICTA mower or Briggs & Stratton batteries? If so, how did you resolve it? Is this a common problem, or should I reach out toVICTA directly?
Appreciate any advice or experiences you can share!

I assume the battery and mower are out of warranty? We would strongly encourage you to immediate cease using the battery for your safety and dispose of it in a responsible manner at a local recycling service.
If the mower was purchased from Bunnings, you should be able to order a replacement battery via the Special Orders desk at your local store.
Thanks,
Jason
