Self watering Milano planters feedback

Re: Self watering Milano planters

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @milliepoobah.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m so sorry to hear about your Jasmine. I’ll pass your comments along to the team at respect, the manufacturer, to highlight the importance of including clear and complete instructions on their planter pots.

I’ll also reach out to you via private message to gather more details about your purchase. I trust our team would like to assist further, including replacing your Jasmine.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Mitchell

See something interesting? Give it the thumbs up!

Re: Self watering Milano planters

I bought the jasmine from Bunnings Mornington Victoria a few weeks ago.

Also need to know when to water these self-watering planters. I see the hole underneath for drainage.

I forgot to put water in the planter before adding the plant and soil!!!

All a wee bit complicated!

Re: Self watering Milano planters

Hi @milliepoobah,

Apologies for the delay in response.

I will get in touch with the leadership team at Bunnings Mornington so we can arrange a replacement jasmine for you.

It's impossible to see it now that it is filled with soil, but at the base of the pot, there is a reservoir with a cylinder in the centre that sticks up about 5cm from the bottom of the pot. This cylinder is connected to the drain at the bottom of the.

The idea is that you can water the plant as you normally would from the top of the pot and the reservoir at the bottom of the pot will fill with water so that water is available for the plant to "self-water".

When the plug on the base is removed, once the water level gets higher than this cylinder the excess water will drain so you can't overwater your plant.

Please bear with me while I contact Bunnings Mornington. I will be back in touch.

Jacob
