My partner built a work bench using leftover fence posts from the fence we built and pallet wood planks for the bench top. He stained pallet wood different shades then covered with lacquer and painted the base 2 blue colour tones adding handles from bunnings and wheels for easy mobility

1/8 constructing base of work bench

2/8 staining pallet bench top different shades of stain

6/8 handles added and oil drip tray that came with machine we bought to put on bench

This is another fantastic project @Lorraine28.
I always love seeing recycled materials turned into something that will keep them in use and out of the scrap heap for years to come.
The colours are vibrant, and the varnished timber looks fantastic. It's hard to believe the benchtop is all pallet wood.
I'm a big fan of the mitred picture frame alongside the fascia board finish. The craftsmanship is exceptional.

Thanks jacobz for the great feedback all credit goes to my partner mikes design i just helped him find free pallets in the gizzy industrial area, held the tools and watched his progress lol

Ive been trying to figure out what the metal tray is that you have on the top of it is for?

Hi dave thanks for the nice feedback for my partners work bench the metal tray on top is the drip tray that came with the lathe machine i bought him for his birthday which he created the bench for
