Hi. I'm looking for recommendations for floor covering in a 13m X 15m shed that will be used for dog agility training. Something to keep the dogs from slipping/sliding on the concrete floor. thanks!
Hi @Steve5,
That's quite a large area you have to cover. The cost of any covering, like carpet or rubber matting, will add up quite quickly. Using marine carpet would be one of the most cost-effective non-slip coverings, and it would also be cleaned easily in case of a puppy accident. We also have these EVA 50 x 50cm Interlock Foam Mats Solid Black Pk4, though they might get torn up from claws if this is some intense training.
Depending on your budget for this project, painting a non-slip coating on the area might be the most budget-friendly solution. You could take a look at a product like Dulux 4L Concrete & Paving Super Grip Medium Tint. It would certainly be more slip resistant than smooth or polished concrete.
Another option would be to have the concrete abraided with a machine to create a rough texture. You could then paint over it with standard concrete paint.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
