I made this one several years ago now from some scrap Jarrah and Pine, I glued some leather on the faces (not shown here) and it is one of the most used tools I have.

@AndrewJones @Wayne these both look great guys. I am looking to make some mallets for myself. How have you guys attached the handles? Did you just use a mortise and Tenon joint?
