I picked up a display model of the Ryobi Plunger Router RRT1600-s on clearance from Bunnings and now that I've gone to use it I have found that there is not collet in place. The nut is there but no collet (particularly the 12.7mm collet). Are there generic collets that work? Having diffculty finding one.

Hey,
I am looking for the 6.34mm collet part number but can't seem to find it anywhere. Are you able to help? I'm trying to order through special orders desk and want to head in with part number.
Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mattdec. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about ordering a collet.
If you can provide the machine's model number, I can then make enquiries on whether the part is available. Or, if it is the Ryobi RRT1600-S please let me know.
Looking forward to those details.
Mitchell
Apologies, forgot to put it in.
It's the RRT1600
Thanks for that, @mattdec.
The RRT1600 is a full-sized router that takes 12mm collets. 6.34mm collets are typically designed to be used in trim routers and, unfortunately, don't fit in the full-sized machine.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Mitchell,
According to the bunnings website for the tool (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-1600w-plunge-router_p6210608) it uses both 6.35mm and 12.7mm. Can you please clarify?
I have been advised by Ryobi that the part number is 039824001103 for the 1/4 Inch Collet
Thanks.
I do apologise for that, @mattdec. There seemed to be some confusion on the metric and imperial there, and I was told that the 1/4 inch or 6.34mm is not available. I've double-checked, and you are correct that the 1/4 inch or 6.34mm collet is available.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with.
