Hi All
I would like to have side walls for my garage and close it completely. The pillars are brick and it’s open in between the pillars.
What is the best type of wall option I can have which is water resistant, easy to instal and cheap. Anything like drywall ?
in front I would be putting a roller gate.
Hello @vineetgajria
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about enclosing your garage.
I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to enclose carport? by @azza0712. It's important that you check the rules and regulations of your local council in regards to enclosing your garage. Each state have their own rules on how it should be done and who should be doing it. The general approach is to build a timber frame between the posts and then clad, insulate then board up the wall. If this step requires a formal plan, I recommend engaging the services of a draftsperson or engineer so that the plans are officially signed off.
There are a number of choices when it comes to materials, but I suggest using the best materials your budget will allow as this is a long-term investment you'll want the structure to last. Your draftsperson or engineer will also be making recommendations when it comes to materials. Once the plans are drawn up you can have a long discussion with your draftsperson or engineer in regards to using plywood or wet area plasterboard as an interior cover.
