Does anyone own or had the opportunity to use a hand held 'burnishing machine?'
Do they recommend them?
I'm only thinking of removing rust.
Cheers.
I haven't had the opportunity @Noyade. They look like they'd do one specific task very well. Unfortunately, I barely have room to store tools that can do several jobs.

Hi @MitchellMc
I went generic. So generic in fact, there is no brand name and it arrived in a plain brown box with instructions that are inappropriate.
But it does work. Weather hasn't been good but I tried it out on a stainless steel bench yesterday that was covered in sap, oil, glue, mildew, etc.
Twenty seconds....
I'm gonna source wire wheels next. Keep ya posted.

Same here, but I've reached a point in life where I order dessert before the main meal - so I like to try news things (if affordable) before my turn arrives.
Cheers.
Afternoon Noyade.

When it comes to removing rust - the wire wheel works best. I highly recommend it if you play around with steel and like to weld.
The big bonus is how quick it is - I kid you not, this is about 15 seconds and you can see some sun reflection in the steel.
Having limited space, some of my surplus steel is exposed to the environment with the eventual rust soon following, so it's good to know it can be quickly restored on the welding surface.
Cheers.
