I've got T8s in my shed. I've recently added a golf sim and the lights are far too bright for the projector.
I thought some smart T8s that I could dim might be the way to go. I came across this but there's a few reviews of fire. Has the product been updated since the burnt out reviews? Is there a better alternative or a better idea (without getting a sparky to run new lights)
Hi @bazz235
Allow me to make a few queries regarding the Deta Grid Connect Smart 18W 1900lm Daylight T8 Tube. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any other any other T8 like bulb that has a dimmable function. Ill be asking about that as well and see if there are any other similar bulbs available.
Thank you for your patience.

Hello @bazz235
Thank you for your patience. I've spoken to my electrical specialist at the store, and they have not received any updates regarding the dimmable T8 lights. Unfortunately, there are no other units in the store that can be dimmed.
However, my teammate suggested using a Lytworx 5m RGB And White LED Strip Light that can be mounted on either the side of the shed or attached to a timber moulding and mounted near your ceiling. The unit comes with a remote control and is dimmable. So, if you want a controllable light source that is easy to attach this is the one I would recommend.
There are more advanced units that can be controlled via Wi-Fi, I suggest visiting your local store and seeing which one will suite your needs.
