Hi, I’m looking to replace an old toilet cistern in my bathroom and I want to know which model would be best suited for my set up?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Hello @BP22183
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet cistern.
Is the cistern no longer working properly or are you just after a replacement to give your toilet a new look? The cost of a ceramic cistern is quite often costly and is almost the same price as a brand-new toilet suit. Just to be a bit more specific, your toilet suit appears to be a Caroma Caravelle 2000 or earlier. If it is, no other cistern will fit your toilet pan other than a Caravelle cistern. I therefore suggest looking at replacing the entire suit with a new one. I propose looking at the Caroma Luna Cleanflush Close Coupled Toilet Suite WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full as a possible replacement for your toilet suit.
If you do decide to have the toilet replaced, please remember to check out the stores Toilet Installation Service.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks Eric.
I’m looking to replace due to the current cistern constantly running water after a half flush. It’s over 25 years old and the mechanisms inside are starting to breakdown
Appreciate the help
Hi @BP22183,
You could likely have a plumber replace the internal mechanism to resolve the constant leaking. If you are inclined, you can do this work yourself. Here's a helpful guide: How to fix a leaking toilet.
For replacement of the cistern, you'll need to speak with our Special Orders team at your local store, and they'll be able to verify if this is a Caroma Caravelle and the model and then check availability.
If you want to go with a new style suite entirely, you might like to take advantage of out Toilet installation offer.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
