Hi could you please tell me if there are two lengths of kinetic pop ups.
I bought kin0499 but is too long and the plug will not close when the mechanism is pushed down.
Thank you.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @rookie48. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a pop-up waste.
Could I first confirm that it is a Kinetic waste that you are repairing? Although they look similar, the Kinetic repair mechanism might not work in a Caroma pop-up, especially if it is a different length. You'll need to compare the old mechanism to the new one to ensure they are the exact same length and compatible.
Kinetic pop-up waste outlets do come in different widths, and you might find different heights. However, these replacement mechanisms should work with both styles.
If you can post a picture of the old mechanism next to the new one, that will greatly assist our knowledgeable members in troubleshooting this issue and providing helpful advice. Let me know if you need a hand uploading those images.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hmm thanks for the reply.
I realy don't have a clue what type of fitting it is as it's and old house and I would not know the difference between the pop up and kinetic.
However I can try and take a picture of the two side by side but the old one is so limescale up it hardly distinguishable . Thanks
I now know why my fitting is too long it's because it's for a watermark drain and that starts a whole new ball game looking for the correct pop up for that.
Hello @rookie48
It's great that you've found a brand you can try and track down. However, as an alternative I suggest having a look at the Kinetic 40mm Chrome Pop Up Basin Waste as a possible replacement for the entire plug and waste. Unfortunately, the Kinetic Pop-Up Waste Mechanism only comes in a single size. This part is dedicated to the pop-up waste set of the Kinetic brand.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi. Back again with my pop up or click clak problem.
Would anyone know of a pop up where the main body of 15 dia is only 19 long.
Unless this is a hybrid if have searched the internet for days.
There are some where the main body is very short, too short in fact but the rest appear to be 25. mm long.
Failing this I might have to buy a completely new sink drain.
Thanks for reading
Hi @rookie48,
As Eric mentioned, you should consider replacing the entire plug and waste, given this is causing you quite the issue. It's only a couple of nuts and in less than an hour you'd have it replaced. It would be far less hassle than trying to find parts to repair the current waste.

Yes I am sure your right but I don't like giving in on a problem. It obviously came from some system that is probably now dead and buried.
I just have to convince my son in law of the situation.
Thanks for looKing.
