Hi, we've been having an issue with the door of our shower catching and having trouble closing. It has been an issue ever since we moved here a couple of years ago. I have attached photos, you can see the aluminium at the bottom of the door has started burring the frame. Up until now we've either pulled it really hard to close or have physically lifted the door at the handle to stop it catching, but as of late it seems to have gotten worse with my wife now stating she can't properly close the door at all.
Thanks.

Hi @Hopper58,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it's brilliant to have you with us.
When the door is closed, what does the gap at the top of the door look like? Is there a bit of room for the door to move up?
On either the top or bottom hinge, can you see any kind of adjustment screw or mechanism that looks like it can be tweaked to adjust the door's height?
If you can find a screw or adjustment mechanism, can you adjust the door up and down?
I suspect the answer is to shift the door up very slightly, but I would need to see the hinges more closely to know what can be done.
If you can take a close-up photo of the top and bottom hinge, preferably with flash on, this would help me troubleshoot the issue.
Let me know what you find.
Jacob
Hi @JacobZ, thanks for replying.
I followed your instructions to get more photos and believe I may have fixed the problem. I have included photos anyway and an explanation in case there's anything else I might have missed.
I looked at the hinges and noticed they were covered in plastic caps I managed to remove the ones from the top hinge which exposed screws which were holding the door hinge in place, when I started to unscrew one of them the door started leaning even further so I loosened both top screws and gave it a good hard push back the other way then re-screwed both back in - this appears to have fixed the problem as the door has stopped catching (just barely - I think the shower frame itself is not fully straight as there's now more gap at the top than the bottom now, but regardless it now closes properly).
Thanks again for your help.
Hello @Hopper58
It's good to hear that you've fixed your shower doors lean. Just a friendly reminder that working with framed glass is dangerous, an accidental hit with a tool or when too much force is applied to the glass can cause it to break and shatter causing injury. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as gloves and goggles. Should the door frame move again, I suggest engaging the services of an aluminium shower installer.
They will be able to replace and correct the angel joins of the shower and bring the entire structure back to square. This will give you back the proper gap when your shower door swings open.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Thank you @EricL for those suggestions, if we have further troubles we'll pursue it that way. Thanks again.
