Re: How to fix leaking cistern outlet valve?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Stephen23. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fixing a leaking toilet.

To access the outlet valve seal on your leaking dual flush cistern, you’ll need to remove the top section of the outlet valve. This style of box outlet valve typically has a series of clips located about halfway to three-quarters of the way down. By carefully unclipping these, you can detach the top section, exposing the outlet valve washer beneath. Once accessible, you can check the washer for wear or damage and replace it if necessary to stop the leak.

Note that you might have to disconnect the inlet valve hose during this process.

Here's a helpful guide: How to fix a leaking toilet.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mitchell,

I can see those clips. What a business getting the inlet of to change the valve!

Appreciate your help.
