In my toilet seat, one side of the hinge (or clip?) doesn't move/rotate when the seat is opened/closed. This causes the hinge connector to come out and break whenever the toilet seat is opened or closed. Is it possible to fix this? A plumber bought this from Bunnings 3 years ago, he didn't give me a receipt.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @diy-wave2. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about toilet seats.
I'm sorry to hear you've had an issue with your toilet seat. Unfortunately, there are no serviceable parts within the hinge mechanism. It might be time for a new one, just make sure to hang on to your proof of purchase in case the product fails within the warranty period.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
