Our beautiful laundry. It was important to create a functional yet aesthetically pleasing room. We have continued the floating shelves that are in our pantry. And installed strip lighting underneath. The kick is left off the sink side cupboard to allow the vacuum to dock out of sight.
we used curtain rod holders and a piece of dowel to create a hanging space overhead.
I am always looking for ways to save money without compromising my vision. The tiles we used for the splashback were found at our local tip shop. I paid $1 each, this was a huge saving to our budget.
Another great saving is asking for off cuts of stone for the bench top. I was able to match the colour to our existing spaces. And have it cut ready for us to pick up and install ourselves.

Re: a functional yet aesthetic laundry
Hello @chantelle
Thank you so much for sharing the details of your laundry revamp. The tiles and benchtop you've chosen really stand out and look great. The LED light not only makes it look posh but eliminates any dark corners in the cabinetry. The floating shelf and timber dowel add a nice touch to its functionality. Very nicely done.
