Can extenders reduce shower water pressure?
Hi, we recently replaced the tap spindles and extenders in our shower. They were working fine for a few weeks and now all of a sudden the water pressure isn’t great. My question is, can these extenders reduce the water pressure or do you think it could just be the old shower head?

Re: Can extenders reduce shower water pressure?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @phillip_83. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about water pressure.
I don't believe the extenders would affect the water pressure. The fact that it happened suddenly weeks after installation also backs that up. Your shower head could have become blocked, but the suddenness of it is a bit peculiar. Perhaps some debris was dislodged in the installation process and has migrated to a spot where it is now blocking water flow. The easiest option would be to replace the head, but I can't guarantee that will resolve the issue.
Can you take a bucket and run a water test? You should be getting around nine litres per minute through the head. You can then remove the shower arm/head and run the test again straight from the copper fitting on the wall. If the wall fitting delivers more than nine litres per minute, the head is likely blocked and needs replacing.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
