Which side of the door does the handle go on?

We're in the process of installing this door and it doesn't have a sticker to say which side the handle goes on.  Does anyone know, please?

Which way is the door going to open? I would recommend left.

Hello @webberjus

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your door.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Bomber25. I totally agree with the recommendation, it all depends on which way the door will be swinging in. This would be a good time to reflect on which way the door should open. It's always best to swing away from another door opening and away from the staircase.

Once you've decided where the door will be hinged, the position of the door handle will be resolved as well.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

So does this mean it doesn't matter which side you put the locks and or hings? As other doors on internet suggest there is a specific lock side!

Hi @Ronnie123

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.

If your door has a very specific section where the lock and door hinges are supposed to go onto, I recommend following the manufacturer's instructions.

But if there is an option in regards to the installation of your door lock and hinges then it's an added feature of your door. My best advice is to always check the installation manual of your door and if that is not available to check the manufacturers website.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Hello @Ronnie123

If you have a look at the Bunnings website, you'll see that the Corinthian Madison door has the handle on the smaller side of the half-moon window. It would be safe to conclude that the left-hand side is where the handle and door lock are to be installed, while the hinges are on the right-hand side.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
