Upcycled entrance hall table using planter box

We thought we would try and find a new use for our planter box. We zipped down to Bunnings & purchased four metal legs, some battery powered bud lights and a few screws. We now have an attractive and functional entrance hall table.

Materials

Taskmaster 150 x 10 mm Hairpin Black steeel legs (4)

Lytworx decorative budlights

Zenith 8 Guage x 20 mm Button Head stitching screws

Tools

Screwdriver / Drill driver

Steps

Step 1

Screw the four legs onto the corners of the underside of the box using the 20mm stitching screws, a few millimetres in from the edge.

Step 2

Thread the budlights through a gap between the planks in the box, holding in place with a couple of small brads.

Step 3

Attach the light's battery box to the outside of the planter (in an inconspicuous position). We used a small piece of double-sided adhesive so it's non-permanent.

Hello @Smithrj

Thank you for sharing your upcycled planter box table. It looks very sturdy, and the glass top is a nice touch.

Many thanks for sharing.
