Australian government research has found the world's ugliest colour.
Apparently the research was done to find out what colour cigarette packets should be, but it's also handy for interior decorators!
Other colours considered were lime green, white, beige, dark grey and mustard. But none came close to Pantone 448C in terms of its ability to ‘‘minimise appeal’’ and ‘‘maximise perceived harm’’. Pantone 448C was commonly described as ‘death’, ‘dirty’ or ‘tar’ without any positive adjectives.
What do you think are some of the colours you should never, ever use when painting your house?

Mate, keep the Atari & Sega in storage, even without a tape drive, the Commodore'll bolt it in.
The random generator only has to come with 1 or a 0, that should be enough to mess with the experts' heads. We could forego the tech & do a coin flip, but those brain-wave bankrupts'd snatch it before it hit the floor.

I like to move to be a bit more bright, bold and playful.
Pantone’s 2018 colour of the year is Ultra Violet 18-3838:
Certainly not a colour for shrinking violets!
“Ultra Violet can transform a room into one of extraordinary self-expression, or conversely its polish can tone down a room with subdued, modern pairings,” Pantone states. “Adding spice and brightness, Ultra Violet calls attention to a tufted couch, piece of art or accent wall. As a color that can take you in so many directions, Ultra Violet makes a statement in any space, whether it’s one of tradition and elegance or unexpected boldness.”
I think its a lovely colour, but yes, best used sparingly.
