Details of what we used:

Door Paint: Dulux Exterior Weathershield Semi Gloss Vivid White
Door Step Paint Colour: Colorbond Woodland Grey
Gutter Paint Colour: Colorbond Woodland Grey
Eaves Paint Colour: Dulux Natural White
Door Handle: Lemaar Satin Chrome Metz Entrance Set
Deadbolt: Lane Satin Stainless Steel Single Cylinder Deadbolt
Door Seal: Raven Anodised Automatic Weather Door Seal
Hello @homeinmelbourne
Thank you so much for sharing your photos and the materials you used for your back door refresh project. That makeover looks great and the new door makes the entrance look so much more modern. The addition of the louvre in your window is a very nice touch. I see your four-legged friend has taken over the office.
Again, thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful project.
Eric
Wow @homeinmelbourne,
You really made your back door entrance FRESH! Simple changes and a little paint goes such a long way. Well done.

This is stunning.
We have this same door but the previous owner did not oil it or paint it so I’m not sure it can be saved it seems good though.
We are about to do this as a project so it gives our door a goal.
It’s a great post it looks amazing.
Feel free to start a new discussion about your door @Mishmash. I trust our helpful members will have plenty of advice on restoring it.

I will take some pics but it has a metal framing and I need help with it I’ve never seen anything like it previously so I’m unsure what to do.
it also needs a new foot plate replaced but not sure I can get it out.
it’s sadly does not seem great workmanship or maybe the workmanship for that time period I would think at a guess.
but I for sure need help.
I will post pics next post.
Thank you all for your support it’s such a great community, and I’m thankful for the help and support.
I was going to rip it all out and put bi fold doors in but due to lack of builders in our area ( rural) i’ve had to adapt the situ and thinking here..
