So 2nd XMAS tree for the season. This one for sister-in-law. From recycled hardwood from a demolished house. Hard to get a good picture as it's pretty tall - but you get the gist of it I hope. Very simple. 3 pieces of wood plus a bit of recycled ply for the base to make it more stable. I did buy the steel cable and the little saddles and turnbuckle to hold the cable and tension the hole thing together. Also bought the case clasps https://www.bunnings.com.au/zenith-70-x-40mm-nickel-plated-suitcase-clip_p3965986?store=7314&gclid=E... which I used to hold it together (can't see in photos) Getting the angles right was the trickiest thing. Came up OK.

Hi @robchin
Another really cool project and just in time to create some amazing Xmas cheer!
Will your sister-in-law string lights, garland, and baubles around the wire?
It would be great to see a picture of it all dolled up.

This is the second one of these - we have a collection of important XMAS baubles and decos - starting when our kids got their first ones for their first XMAS. They show them off really well.
Hi @robchin
This style of tree really does show off and feature your lovely ornaments!
I am sure it was well loved over XMAS.
Looking forward to seeing more of your creative DIY projects in 2022.
