Novelty hooks for clothes

These were cut out with my Ryobi jigsaw from 150x18 pine. Have a short block of 20-30 mm pine dowel and 6mmx50mm hanger bolts (pictured) glued with araldite into the dowel.

they can be hand screwed into dry wall with an anchor or into a hole in timber 4.5 -5 mm dia.

paint in colours you like and make the shape as big or bold as you like - the plus signs are the most popular

i made some 150x150 plus signs finished in black satin rustoleum for a modern yoga studio in their changing rooms

Re: novelty hooks for clothes whatever

Hi @Madmoggy

That's a very interesting creation you've made. Just letting our members know that the part you used is called a Hanger Bolt. This bolt is mounted onto the timber item and can then be manually screwed in by hand or by using a drill to make a pilot hole in the wall. If you're a handy sculptor you can pretty much create an endless array of different kinds of hooks.

Thank you for sharing your novelty hook project.

Eric
