The power of paint !! Our most recent finished room in the never ending renovation, mudroom!
Some trim, fresh paint, new tiles, hooks and a sliding door all from Bunnings and the ugly duckling 🐥 is beautiful again.
Wanted to share our project so happy with the results!

Welcome to Bunnings Workshop and thank you for sharing your diy project with the community. This is an amazing transformation! What was once a utilitarian spot has now become a beautiful feature of the house. A total character transformation. The doors and windows trims have literally popped out and are now very noticeable. What was the name of the paint color that you chose? The blue floor tiles give excellent contrast and compliment your brick walls very nicely. Over all an excellent make over and one that will inspire our members to have a go at their own space.
How long did the make over take?
Did you run in to any problems while you were in the middle of the renovation?
If you had to do it all over again what were some of things you would have done differently or prepared for better?

We chose French Green by porters paint as it really stands out against the brick work and originally had picked a fancy tile for the floor but it was way too busy in the little space and went with the simple Matt Black tile which really complements the texture and colouring l think. We finished this project in about three week ends and funny you ask about “ what would you do different “ we actually pulled it apart the weekend after as we wanted to swap the pocket door around for more light 😂so the opening was directly in front of the window 🙈you learn from the mistakes! We also built the bench seat from scrap left over timber and will pop up a post on how we did that too.
