HI
I am looking to install LVP between 5.5 mm to 7mm thickness over my exisitng bamboo flooring mainly in living areas, Hallway and Kitchen. I have checked and i have clearance of 7mm below the doors and will be removing skirting and installing a new one. I am just wondering if that is an issue to install them over the bamboo flooring in terms of durability. My bamboo flooring is in level with nominal wear and tear like hairline cracks and some ripples. Also, i am bit confused with what is hardwood flooring vs Vinyl plank and LVP flooring as i have been browsing on different websites and the terms have all been used as per convenience. I have been looking at the products which comes with and overlack and can be installed with simple groove and click.

Hello @antrix_bansal
As I mentioned in one of your posts, if you have real timber bamboo flooring it is possible to sand it down and re-seal it. But if it is artificial and it is clip on type flooring, I suggest removing it before you lay down the LVP. It's best to put the LVP on a solid surface and not on top of another artificial flooring surface.
Here is an easy explanation of the three items you were asking about.
Both the vinyl plank and LVP come with clip on features for easy installation.

Thanks @EricL for getting back to me. I have checked and the box says it is a compressed eco bamboo boards.
these boards are glued to concrete and also have clip on arrangement.
@EricLdoes bunnings stock any LVP ? As i could only find laminate and hardwood plan options ?
I'm sorry, but the store does not currently stock any LVP's. However, we do have hybrid panels that match the waterproof features of the LVP and are just as robust.
