I have outward-opening windows with hand rollers, and all of them have indoor fly screens installed. With the recent drop in temperature, I’ve been getting cold drafts through some of them, especially when it’s windy, and the rooms have been getting pretty chilly.
I’m looking for advice on how to insulate these windows properly for winter. What are the best ways to weather-seal this type of window, and what tools or products would I need for a good DIY solution?Closed

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @bp011. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about sealing drafts.
The type and size of weathersealing strip really depends on the size of the gaps that exist when the window is closed. We have a whole range to select from. For gaps between 2 and 5mm, I'd recommend Raven 5000mm RP59 White Self-Adhesive Window and Door Weather Strip. But for anything smaller, I'd go with Moroday Grey Self Adhesive Weather Seal, which is more likely to compress into a tiny gap.
There are no tools needed for the installation, but you do want to give the window frme a good clean to ensure the self adhesive stick well to it.
You should install these onto the exterior of the frame in the location where the window closes against.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
