I am wanting to replace the hinges on our front door and bedroom doors.
I’m a little confused as to how the hinge size is calculated. The length of the hinge is 75mm and the width 35mm however, looking on Bunnings there doesn’t appear to be any with identical measurements.
I would appreciate advice as to what I should be looking for, thank you.
Hi @Missskybird,
It doesn't appear like we have anything available if you are looking for precisely the same-sized hinge. The closest would be the 70mm hinges. There is a black 75mm hinge, though.
Where are you measuring the 35mm width? Is that just the flat plate section, or are you including the hinge mechanism as well? The measurements on the website will be the overall width of the hinge, including the hinge section. Most 75mm hinges will fit a standard 35mm thick internal door.
You might like to take one hinge with you and compare it to what we have in store. If you don't find a suitable match, then you can speak with one of our helpful Special Orders team members, and they can enquire as to whether our supplier has something that would suit.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
