How to replace entry door knobs?

Hi. Is it possible to replace our current entry door knob & deadbolt (see image) to a one piece one? Either the Gainsborough Traditional Trilock Lever Set or the Knob Set. If yes, do you think we can do this ourselves or should I call a locksmith? Thanks in advance.

Re: Replacing entry door knobs

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ybarker. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about fitting a door lock.

Yes, it’s entirely possible to replace your current entry door knob and deadbolt with a one-piece set like the Gainsborough Traditional Trilock Lever Set or Knob Set. However, it won’t be a straightforward, like-for-like fitment. You’ll likely need to adjust the door to suit the new lock, which might involve drilling new holes, resizing existing ones, or filling voids left by the old hardware.

If you’re not familiar with altering a door to fit a lock, it’s a good idea to enlist the help of a professional locksmith to ensure a proper fit and secure installation.

You might like to use our door lock installation service.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
