Hi
I broke the window glass for the bathroom which is frosted glass. I was wondering how I go about replacing it?
Thank you!
Hi @Malak
Have you had any luck removing the window? The photo looks like you have and it's on the floor? If so, time to google for a glazier near you.
Hello @Malak
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about fixing your frosted glass window.
It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Noyade. I totally agree with his recommendation, replacing frosted glass requires specialist tools and skills. I suggest engaging the services of a glazier to repair your glass window.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing your frosted glass window repaired.

@EricL @Noyade Thank you both for your assistance. I was hopeful that it might be a DIY job.
I was wondering if there is an option to replace the aluminum sliding window part only? I am unsure if this is also an option or the entire frame has to be replaced. I did look at the aluminum frames on the Bunning website but couldn't seem to find an entire frame like the one from the DIY videos on the Bunnings website.
Hi @Malak,
It can be a D.I.Y. job. First, put on some cut-resistant gloves and safety eyewear. I'd then suggest completely taping the glass on both sides with masking tape. It needs to be secure enough that it doesn't fall apart when removed. Start dis-assembling the frame from around the glass. Once the frame is off, you might also need to remove a rubber gasket. Take some very accurate measurements when you are down to the glass panel. You can then order a piece of glass to suit. Re-assemble in the same fashion. Before you go and do that, though, I'd recommend you find out how much it would cost to get the job done for you.
Do you wish to replace the whole window frame or just the sliding panel section? If you are after the sliding window section, you'd likely need to track down the window manufacturer to see if they have replacements. There are options for the whole window frame, but unless you've done this type of work before, you'd be best to employ the services of a builder. The job will likely involve moving timber work in the wall to accommodate the new-sized frame.
If you want to improve the windows' appearance, I suggest you have the glass panel replaced and then look at our Best Advice article on What is the best way to paint aluminium windows?.
Please let us know if you have further questions.
