How to repair front door frame?

Hi There,

Our front door frame where the lock strikers fit has broken away after removing a lock and part of the wall behind where the lock was. 

I want to be able to fix both so I can install a new lock.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about repairing your door frame.

In order for us to get a better idea of what the damage looks like, would it be possible for you to post a photo of the damaged door frame? This will give our members a chance to assess the door frame's condition and what can be done to repair it. Generally speaking, if the frame is not too badly damaged it could be repaired with Builder's Bog. However, if the damage is too severe it might be necessary to cut out the damage and patch it with new timber. 

If you need a hand posting the pictures, please let me know.
