Hi I’m wanting to repaint some doors that have peeling paint. The new paint is a matte finish and the door is glossy
Hi @m_ee_e,
To successfully repaint your door, it's important to address the peeling paint thoroughly. The compromised layer needs to be entirely removed by sanding; this ensures that the new paint adheres properly and prevents future peeling.
Once you've sanded off all the peeling sections, you can apply a quality primer, like Dulux Precision Max Adhesion Primer, to create a solid base for your new paint. After priming, your matte topcoat will have a much better surface to adhere to, ensuring a smooth and long-lasting finish.
Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to paint a door.
