How to remove doorknob with no screws?

I want to change the doorknobs in the house or at least just fix this loose one but cant even take them off.

There seem to be no screws around the smooth metal base. I cant unscrew it at all either. Ive tried pushing and pulling but it seems stuck.

See photos of underside and top to show no little screws that you might expect to help take it off. This one is coming off a bit so you can see the screws inside.
Thanks !

Hello @Bob9

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door knob.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Noyade. The link he provided How to remove Gainsborough door knob? by @threemonkeys is spot on and has a description of how to remove the gold flanges covering the door mechanism.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
