How to lubricate Rolltrack rollers on sliding patio flyscreen door?

Hi there. My sliding flyscreen door was jamming as the rollers had worn out. As I have done previously, I replaced the rollers from Bunnings Rolltrack R3160 top hanger 19mm. They roll nice and freely but what a terrible noisy roller.

Is that normal for new rollers to be so noisy? Can they be lubricated? I am reluctant to do so without advice as I realise that lubricating some of these things is a no no. I can see they have tiny bearings.

Anyone else had this problem?

Re: Sliding patio flyscrren door

Hi @terrytoons,

It sounds like you have experience with this specific roller. If the latest one you purchased is significantly noisier than the previous one, one could assume that it might be faulty. Just double-check that you haven't inadvertently overtightened any locking mechanism, which could be stressing the rollers.

As a first action, I'd return the roller due to the noise and grab another one, just to ensure there isn't an issue with it. If the next one makes a similar noise, you could consider lubricating it, but you'd first want to check all adjustments on the door and ensure that the track isn't damaged.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
