How to hang a picture frame with hinge clips on the backboard?

I tried hanging this, but the hinge clips can’t reach the nail because they’re attached to the backboard rather than the frame. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: how would i go about hanging this picture frame

Hello @humbleguy

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about hanging your picture frame.

I suggest using Ramset 6 x 38mm Universal Anchor, but instead of using the screws provided I recommend using the Zenith 8G x 75mm Countersunk Rib Head Chipboard Screws. They are bit longer and will stick out of the wall a bit which should be perfect as it will catch onto the hooks of your picture frame. If you are going into brick, masonry or plasterboard the Ramset Universal Anchor can be used. But if you are going through timber the chipboard screws can be used by themselves.

Re: how would i go about hanging this picture frame

Thanks Eric as I’m in a rental is there a way to hang without drilling? I tried the command no nails but it was not able to reach the clip with the frame in place.

Re: how would i go about hanging this picture frame

Hi @humbleguy,

I'd suggest you attach a wire to the back frame with the Everhang 10kg Picture Hanging Kit. The picture triangles can be attached on both sides of the frame, and the wire runs between them. That way, the nail will be able to reach the wire.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
