Hi experts,
My upper floor has a crack and I assume it's a house expansion problem. Do you know can I caulk this and if yes, what type of caulk or sealants I can use for this. Thank you so much
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @eric2. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a gap.
You can use a flexible silicone caulk like Selleys 475g No More Gaps Interior Multipurpose Gap Filler to fill the crack. This type of caulk is designed to handle minor movement and will help mask the issue.
However, keep in mind that this is more of a cosmetic fix. If the crack has developed gradually over time and the movement has stopped, filling it should resolve the issue temporarily. If the crack continues to widen or shift, it might indicate ongoing structural movement, and it would be worth consulting a professional to assess the underlying cause.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
