How to finish edge of floor?

Hello all,

I replaced my kitchen/dining room floor, and looking for ideas on how I can finish the edge in front of this cupboard.  There is a gap of about 35mm at floor level before stepping up about 25mm to the floor level in the cupboard.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Re: Finish edge of floor

Have you tried looking at some of the floor trim options?

Hi @Ryno292,

It's great to see that @Bomber25 has jumped in to assist and provided a useful link.

Do you have any of the flooring left? It looks like a cut-down piece would be perfect to fill that gap. If necessary, you can then use a trim piece to help make the transition less severe. If you don't have any of the flooring, then a section of DAR timber could be used to fill the gap.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
