How to find a tradesperson near you

Many thanks for joining the Bunnings Workshop community. You have joined a friendly, helpful community of people who are happy to roll the sleeves up and get stuck into home improvement projects.

We try to encourage everyone to have a go and will happily provide the advice and support you need. If you need a hand with a project, please don’t hesitate to click on the Start a discussion button. We have plenty of community members keen to share their experience and knowledge.

If you need a tradesperson to assist you, we recommend you try a site like Airtasker or hipages. We sometimes get members on Workshop asking for recommendations for tradespeople in their area, but Workshop is a community for people right across Australia and New Zealand so it is unlikely that there will be a member near you who can recommend someone suitable. It's best to go direct to a site that is designed for that purpose.

Feel free to reach out any time you need help getting the most from the Workshop site or have any feedback about how we can make Workshop more useful for you.

Jason

Re: Restoration of decking

Hello @heathertan

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your deck.

I understand you're looking for some help with your deck, but just to let you know, Bunnings doesn't endorse specific builders. A great way to find someone is by posting your job on platforms like Airtasker or Hipages. If you provide plenty of details about the project, you'll likely get quick responses from professionals who can help you out! My best advice is to request for references so that you can see what they did in the past.

If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Eric

Re: Is there a business that builds small/compact ensuites?

Hi @CapeHoney,

Thank you for your question.

I'd be surprised if you could find a company specialising specifically in "compact ensuites", but I imagine any bathroom renovation company or builder could assist you with this kind of job.

If you wanted to find a business operating close to you, I'd suggest using a service such as HiPages or True Local to search for a bathroom renovator or builder.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob

ENSUITE WANTED for my home in a northern suburb, Adelaide

Hi, I'm seeking someone who is QUALIFIED, who could build me a basic/functional ENSUITE in my 14 yr old, 3 bedroom home in an Adelaide northern suburb. I'm not wanting something that's luxurious/lavish, but just an ensuite that is FUNCTIONAL. Can tap into nearby existing HWS. Existing sewer line less than a metre away. The space, corner of my bedroom, is limited ie about 1.8 metres X 1.2 metres, so it would need to be fairly compact for me to be able to proceed.

Re: ENSUITE WANTED for my home in a northern suburb, Adelaide.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @CapeHoney. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about building an ensuite.

As this is a D.I.Y. community, if you're looking for a tradesperson, it would be best to utilise a service like Airtasker or Hipages. Workshop is a community spanning Australia and New Zealand, so it’s best to use a dedicated platform for finding suitable professionals in your area.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: How to find a tradesperson near you

Thank you Jason. I will try those sites.

I have recently retired from the work force and beginning to tackle some projects at home, hence the question but I will follow up those sites.

Best wishes

Hi I'm new to this and really don't know what this workshop is about. I'm hoping someone could do the job of re painting my security doors. Front Door same colour. Back doors  painted in a different colour.
