How to colour match stain for coffee table?

Resto project on this coffee table. I want to sand it back then stain it to match the grey floor boards as closely as possible as pictured.

What would be the best stain to use? TIA

Hello @filthy 

I suggest bringing your sample board to the store and speaking to the paint specialist. I propose having them scan your floorboard to get a sample of the colour you're after. I then suggest looking at the following products:

• Porter's Paint
   
• Feast Watson Stain & Varnish
   
• Cabot's Interior Stain

I recommend looking at the finish sample boards for these products and see which one of them comes close to the finish of your floorboard. Once you've made your choice the paint specialist will tint a can for you which you can then test on your table.
