i got my new home but Washing Machine and Dryer is installed in a way where both doors open & ends in same spot in middle and difficult to move cloths.
Builder told the washing machine is installed close to sink drain in right side due to the drain hose pipe & cable are short.
dont know whether i am too fussy on this as its my first time using both together. Is it how these are installed?
is there a way i can change the position so doors open away from each other and cloths can be transferred easily without any hindrance.
Hi @Samara1,
Thank you for your question.
I don't think you're being fussy, I think you're thinking practically while the builder is concerned about ease of installation. From a practical standpoint, having the doors both open outwards, you'll have a much easier job transferring clothes from one to the other.
Assuming there is a space at the back of the set-up for the existing hoses, and the machines will fit in either space, you can always use a longer inlet and drain hose.
This Kinetic 4m Double Ended Washing Machine / Dishwasher Inlet Hose and this Kinetic 4m Washing Machine / Dishwasher Outlet Drain Hose should do the trick.
You may just need to cut a hole in that middle panel for the hoses to run through.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
