Hello All
Brought a bookshelf with Glass door .
it needs to fixed to the wall
I have hallow plaster board wall inside .
it did not come with any screw for attaching to the wall .
Any recommended would be much appreciated.
Hi @mmd22,
Thank you for your question.
Ideally, you would locate two studs using a stud finder and then attach each bracket to these studs with a 50mm timber screw. If you can only find one stud, you can attach it to one stud and then use the same screw with a WallMate Plasterboard Anchor.
You should anchor to at least one stud. There should be at least one available to you.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi @mmd22,
It's not great to anchor to the plasterboard alone. It doesn't have the structural strength that a stud does to resist a heavy weight pulling on it.
Assuming the bookcase is at least 450mm wide, there should be a stud available.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

hello @JacobZ
bookshelf height is 2m where I meant to put those brackets on top .
i am not sure if I would have studs there .
Bookshelf is 80 cm width .
Thank you for your help .
Hi @mmd22,
Studs run the full height of the wall; height is not an issue.
With a bookcase 80cm wide, there is no construction system that I am aware of where you wouldn't hit at least 1 stud and more than likely 2.
