Hello @Davehelp
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thank you for joining us and sharing your question about how to adjust the size of your entrance combination lock.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues posting the photo. Please send your photo to workshop@bunnings.com.au and we will post it for you. Can you please tell us the item number or make/model number of the combination lock that you purchased? This will help us identify what combination lock you have and we can then show you the steps to adjust it.

Hi Eric, photo as requested. Dave
There should be enough thread in the exterior cylinder to let the screw tighten down to fit a 35mm door.
Latch is adjustable for 60 or 70mm backset. It should be having the cross on the center of the hole.
The instructions given are never that great unfortunatly.
Hi @Davehelp
I've spoken to the store's hardware specialist. You will notice that the cross pins that join the pieces together have stamped cutting lines on them. This is placed so that you can cut the pins down making the pieces come closer. the same feature is actually on the screw. You will notice that they have channels in them for you to cut with a hack saw. It will then shorten the screw and allow you to install the lock in a 35mm door. I've placed some photos at the bottom to show you the cutting guides.
If you need more advice or information, please let us know.
Eric
Thank you Eric
noticed the notches but didn’t want to cut until I was sure that was the correct thing to do.
Cheers
