I have bought a packet of these, but I can't figure out how they hold the screens on - or don't they? - are they just to be used to hold onto the screen?
JeannieS They don't hold the screen in place. They are used to make it easier when you want to get the screen out for cleaning the window. The ones I have on my screens are just held in place by the rubber strip that holds the gauze in place. JDE
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @JeannieS. It's fabulous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about flyscreens.
Do you want to hold the flyscreen frame into your window frame or the flyscreen mesh into the flyscreen frame? As @JDE has mentioned, the screen is held into the frame with a spline. Typically something similar to a Rolltrak Zinc Flyscreen Flush Swivel Clip is used to how the frames into the windows.
Here's a step-by-step guide you should find useful: How to replace a flyscreen
